New technologies are more and more essential regarding healthcare in the GCC. A recent Ipsos/Philipps global survey on countries’ healthcare system, reported on Emirates 247, shows that “the UAE and Saudi Arabia residents are the most satisfied globally, scoring 88 and 78 markets on the well-being index, respectively. Most of Western countries such as the United States, France and Germany were clustered around the 57-point average”. Awareness about non-communicable diseases (NCD) is growing among leaders and investors. And ICT are a key to upgrade and improve healthcare system.
Healthcare delivery has become multifaceted with changes in patient and healthcare practitioner priorities. It has shifted from curative care to comprehensive, evidence-based integrative and preventive approaches to disease and patient management.
